Fonts

I have looked at a few different fonts to use for the title of my trailer, I have designed my title in the different fonts to see which font best suits the genre of the trailer.

I found the fonts on the website http://www.dafont.com/, I then downloaded them and added them to the font book on the computer. It was then easy to write the title in these various fonts in photoshop.

The main features of the film and the genre of the film help to determine which font best suits the title and therefore the fonts which I looked at are all related to the film.

The UK Number Plate font is used because of the connection of the car in the film, this font is designed to look as though a number plate would. I decided to only include characters in the name that you could expect to see on a number plate and I limited them to seven characters long also, this makes the name and font have a really close connection to the film. By using this license plate style of logo it allows the colours to be quite vibrant (yellow and black), and therefore this will stand out on the published print and also in the films trailer. I looked at the fonts that other successful films have decided to use and this helped me to make a decision on which font style I wanted to use for my own title.
